COMMUNITY
Fredericksburg Regional Black Restaurant Week (FXBGbrw) is a local initiative based on the principles of: great food, culture and community in the Fredericksburg, Stafford and Spotsylvania areas. The black restaurant experience is not a new concept, however, the visibility of black-owned restaurants in these communities continue to be under-represented.
The mission of FXBGbrw is to:
-
Increase the visibility of local black-owned restaurants;
-
Assist with the financial recovery of participating restaurants due to the economic disruption attributed to COVID-19; and
-
Reinvest into our local community by connecting consumers with black-owned restaurants and entrepreneurs (Caterers, Bakers, Personal Chefs, etc.) to bridge the disparity in wealth.
